I'm looking into my first UW camera and have narrowed it down to the Sea & Sea DX-8000G, DX-860G and the Sealife DC600. I'm not sure what the advantages/disadvantages are between the Sea & Sea cameras are. Any suggestions or personal experience would be appreciated. Thanks!

I just took a photography course in Roatan. It was amazing. Stick with a point and shoot. Canon and Olympus are great. One of our cameras is the Canon A710S. It's great. We have the Ikelite housing. Whatever you decide make sure the "White balance and EV" features are easily accessible within the menu. SeaLife is terrible for this. If you have any questions...pm me. ;)

The 8000 is higher resolution, which will allow you to crop more from distant shots. The 5000 and 8000 have a very short auto-focus delay and quick time from turn on to ready to shoot. These are very helpful for a point and shoot camera.
