Hi all,

I've narrowed down my choice for an April dive trip to Raja Ampat. One of the liveaboards that I'm am considering is the Sea Safari III.

Can somebody share their experience with the ship or the company? Their fleet includes the Sea Safari III/VI/VII/VIII/IX/Cheng Ho.

Thanks.

Chewie,

before i answer your question, let me say that i had been chartering Seasafari III for LOB diving trips for 5 trips before, and 3 more trips coming this may 2008. (Trips posted on Bali Diving, SCUBA Dive Bali Indonesia with Kapal Selam Diving Club Bali )
I knew the owner of this company, and some will say that my opinion maybe biased, i urge you to do some research. There are some good and bad reviews on this site, you could read them and decide for yourself.

Now, to answer your question, my previous trips with Seasafari were always great, Big boat, service and food wise were excellent. Diving could be tricky as we can't predict the weather and luck.
Please noted that i never join any Seasafari trips, I always chartered the whole boat for my own diving club trips or personal trips.

Seasafari V or ChengHo is currently being leased to Dive Operator KARARU. I heard good things about them, and i somehow believe them because i have been in that boat too.. However, there are conflicting reports on Kararu on this site, I urge you to do your own reading.

Finally, we are a non-profit diving club, and we always try to provide information and help to other divers coming to dive Indonesia. If you have any questions, you could browse the club web and read some reports, or email us your questions.

Good luck !

Cheers,
Acuan.
