anyways, they're for sale now sea elite sport xr octo reg and second stage, a dive master used them i didn't, thanks for the opinions guys

If the gear was in decent shape and had been kept recently annually serviced, you prob came out sorta ok. If it's in need of service and several years old, maybe not....
It should be a decent starter regulator for non-technical diving.

Sea Elite is the "store brand" of Divers Supply. You'll find some folks here that might like it but also some that don't. (but that's just life). I've had a Sea Elite regulator before and never had the first problem with it. However, if you do a lot of diving, you'll most likely move on to a better regulator setup.

One thing you will have a problem is with finding parts for them at a regular local dive shop that's not a Divers Supply. But you can always send it back to Divers Supply for servicing also.

Let us know how you like it after you dive with it.

A guy around here bought one and regretted it. The reg free flowed way too easy and eventually it wouldn't stop. The cost of repair was too close to the price of new and so he threw it in the trash and bought a different brand.

The problem with it is it's cheap.

I think you got taken IMO.

That's my opinion for what it's worth and not binding upon you nor anybody else, you got it for what you paid for it and that's about what it's worth.

well, a dive master used this setup so i'll give it some credit, i won't be able to tell you any reviews on this because they're for sale.... i only kept the guages
but the guy that used it and the shop i was at is affiliated with noaa and i use to work for them so i will give these guys credit for using the equipment and trusting their dives with them, they're in great shape, but i personally have tusa rs-350 so i will be plenty happy

I see that you've got them for sale in another thread.

Though you've taken the gauges off of the ones for sale, I'm not sure you'll make money selling them, or even recover what you paid for them.

I dunno... maybe since you kept the gauges and that might have been what you were after you might have at least gotten some value out of the gauges. I doubt you'll get your money out of the regulators selling them since you paid $150 for them.

i was after the guages, so if i get my asking price, i'll atleast only paid minimal for the guages, $25-$50, i don't mind for the guages

no, i got two packages, not one

oh... you got two sets of regs (4 second stages) and two sets of gauges?

that's not bad... you paid about half price what a new one would cost
