I just bought a Canon SD750 with Ikelite housing and can't quite decide what my best bet would be for white balance settings. I'm new to underwater photography but not photography in general.
Do you guys recommend trying the 'underwater mode' available on the camera? I know this function does not change for specific depths, lighting conditions, etc. so I thought manually setting the white balance would be a better option. But if I manually set the white balance and use the internal flash for macro shots, will the colors come out weird? Or would the flash 'cancel' the manual white balance? I hope that made sense.
Basically, what settings for white balanace/camera modes would you guys suggest for macro shots, and for other typical 'fish' shots?
I've also toyed around with the CHDK that allows the SD750 to shoot in RAW. Should I just ditch the white balance issues and correct them later after shooting in RAW? Do you use a flash when shooting in RAW?
Thanks for any insight.
