Hello fellow Canoneers, I recently received my WP-DC3 underwater housing in the mail and I can't wait to dive it! Naturally since I can't dive I'm absorbing as much info about the equipment as I can and I had a couple questions. I live in Monterey so it's safe to assume that most pictures will be in macro mode as there's usually a lot of particulate and low visibility. With this in mind, what ISO should I have my camera set on? Also, is this the general technique I should use on a dive : Get to depth, take a shot of a white card that I've brought with me to set the WB and then shoot with the internal flash of the camera in macro mode? Also, if I want to shoot a video, what mode should I be on? Sorry, lots of questions but lots of eagerness to dive also and naturally I want as little trial and error as possible. I'm not going to lie, I'd like a frame-able picture on my first dive. Dream big right? :lotsalove:

if you're shooting macro's with a flash, may as well keep iso as low as it goes.

If using available light, keep the iso as low as you can- with that camera probably no more than 400... keep your hands still.

ISO setting is really dependent on how much light you have... Dive shallow at noon and you'll be able to keep it low...

check how much noise is acceptable to you before you dive to find what you like... buy Noise Ninja if it becomes an issue...

you can frame anything.

White balance in video mode too.
