I recieved a Canon SD200 camera for Christmas and absolutely love it. I'd like to use it for diving, but unfortunately I'm not having much luck finding a waterproof case for it. I spoke to Canon directly, and they at this time have no intentions of releasing a better case than the one they currently have (9.8'). I was hoping someone might know of somewhere I could possibly find one? Any help is appreciated.

Hi EzRidA,

digideep.com has no knowledge of a housing for the SD200.

Take a look at this site -- if there's another camera that's the same size and buttons, you might be able to use its case:
http://www.canon.co.jp/Imaging/uwphoto/page/16-e.html

I know there's been success in using the A95 in the case for the A80, for an example.

Hope that helps,

Thanks for the tip. I had asked Canon if any of the case would work with my cameran and they said no. I don't know if they said this simply to cover their butts or because it simply is the truth.

I also spoke to ikelite and they have no intentions of releasing a case for this camera.

I actually like that site you gave me better than the one I was using.

Hopefully case for the sd110 will work. Now I need to try and find a place that will allow me to test it out. :)

The one I mentioned is the Canon underwater resource page that the Canadian site links to, and is obviously a translation from the Japanese (note the weight use column of the page -- it says "uselessness" instead of "none") :-)

It is much more indepth than the synopsis provided by the US site, though both have some unique content.

Cheers,
