Time to buy some goods "made in USA".

Scuba Systems (847-674-0222) in Skokie is the only shop that I have great confidence in. Larry, the owner, is a wealth of knowledge and a super friendly guy. He is an accomplished technical diver and the only local place to get mix, argon, etc.

Not true anymore. IID in Glen Ellyn now pumps O2, trimix, and argon. Lee is a frequent tech diver. Not so much locally, but in Florida. He will sometimes run tech trips to Florida. I haven't heard if Scuba Systems does any tech diving. I know their web site doesn't mention any classes or trips.

I'm partial to Below H2O in Aurora. Mostly because I teach through them. :07: We offer Nitrox and O2. No trimix (I have my own He bottles to pump from).

Underwater Safaris (http://www.uwsafaris.com) is only a 10 minute cab ride from your hotel...good shop, great staff and may have OMS.

Another good shop to add to the list is D.D. Dive (http://dddive.com) in Glenview but cab ride here would be $$$, approximately 45 minutes from your hotel.
