I bought my Mk25/s600 about a year ago and now it's time for my annual servicing. Scubapro requres this once a year for the warranty to be valid.

How do they know when your reg has been serviced? Was I supposed to have received a little log book for my technician to sign or something? I've got nothing to prove when my gear has been serviced.

they would ask for evidence of servicing...Don't you have an invoice from the shop?

Most shops I have frquented don't get too bent out of shape on the "expired warranty" issue and will honor the warranty if at all possible as long as you have the card the SP sends you indicating you are the original purchaser and bought it with the US warranty. (no guarrantee it is that way all over however)

The exception would be if you had obviously skipped a few years of service and, for example, they had to replace a piston that had been identified in a service bulletin issued a few years ago indicating the need for replacement at the next annual service. There is often an expiration on how long things will be covered for free on a recall or service bulletin if you skip the annual service.

You mean I should just save the receipts each year from the servicing?

I have the card but I'm not sure about how the warranty works here. I bought it in Korea but I'll be going home to Canada for good next summer and I hope i'll still have my warranty. I guess I should send an email to sp.

The problem is that I can't just pick up the phone and call my local sp rep. My korean sucks and I'll venture to guess his english is just as bad. Maybe I'll give it a shot though. Thanks for the replys.

Not sure about Canada, but in Europe, unlike in the States you really don't need the actual warranty card to get the warranty, as there is no gray market. You do need to show that you've serviced it according to SP's requirements.
