Hi,

Hard choice to choose between 2 regulators ... any advise, comments ???

Scubapro S555 / MK17
Scubapro R295 Octopus
Scubapro Compact Console 2 Instruments

vs.

Aqualung Legend ACD
Aqualung Legend Octopus
Aqualung Console 2 Instruments

don't buy Junk.

a Regulator is something you are going to buy once, I only use apexs so i can't comment on scubapro. However if you are going with apexs go with a DS4 first stage with TX50 second stage.

I've got a couple of Scubapro's but no AL's. I do however have Apeks regulators. They (Apeks) are the best breathing regulators I've ever used.
However, you will not be dissapointed with either setup. Choose the one that you can get serviced locally and with Scubapro and Aqualung you will probably find that they are both serviced by the shops in your area.

Flip a coin. Both are excellent regs.

I have a MK17/X650 that is my current favorite reg. I also have an Apeks XTX200 and I have used the AL Legend several times. All of them perform superbly.

Maybe, the better comparison is ScubaPro vs. Apeks..;)

Most of my experience is with Scubapro. Best I've ever owned. You will love the MK17 with whatever 2nd stage you buy. I use the MK17 with the older D400.

Either one is a great choice.
Something else to think about is both Scubapro and Aqualung, you can get service pretty much any where that you will go diving.
Not so true with some other brands.

I'm very happy with my MK25(piston)+S600(slightly better than S555 coz it has a flow control)
