Stainless plate with black color kit and the hardware I haven’t used for other projects. Nice plate but stainless doesn’t work for me.

If the STA on this thing wasn't $250 I'd probably bite.
 
The STA is a work of art, if you shop you can get a discount but a standard STA also works
 
Can someone explain how the triglides with the 3 openings work? I assume they're for the shoulder straps. My guess is the webbing goes through the 2 smaller slots as normal. It then comes out the large slot, through a D-ring, and back through the same large slot.

I'm curious what advantage this offers.

I'm curious what advantage this offers.
It helps hold the softer webbing, one extra twist so they don’t slip.
