I have a 1973 scubapro reg. that sounds like it could be a MKV with 2LP's on the turret and 1 HP port. Was there a MKIV around that time?

There was never a Mk-IV in the US.

There is this quote from the Scubapro museum:
The MK 4 did not exist as a first stage on its own. It was sold in Europe as a combination MK 5 with the 108HP second stage.

Two LP port on a swivel was an early Mk-V (Mk-5).

Take a look at the Scubapro museum. It has a lot about the history of Scubapro.
