You can find the MK20's as a resale, but not new any longer.
I have a spare MK20 for sale if you are looking to go that route.

The Mk 20 first stage has been replaced by the Mk 25 and the G500 second stage has been replaced by the S600.

The Mk 20 and Mk 25 are essentially identical with the major difference being that the MK 25 has an external IP adjustment, which is advantage for the tech not the diver.

SP moved production of the G500 from the US to Italy. The earlier US made G500's are identifiable by their black purge covers and they are one of the sweetest second stages ever made. The later Italian made G500's had grey purge covers and while still very good, were not quite up to the standard of excellence set by the earlier G500. The early G500 breathes as well as the current S600.

They all use the same basic poppet assembly and roughly speaking they all offer the same level of performance as the differences between them are very small and any advantage one may have over the other would only show up when very finely tuned.

The advantage of getting a Mk 20 G500 would be that it would be used and you could get Mk 25 S600 performance for perhaps 1/2 the cost of a new Mk 25 S600.

I have a couple of Mk 20's I'd sell but no G500 second stages.

Are parts still being made for the g500? I got two that I want rebuilt but may need the cover over the exhaust valve replaced.

Yes they are still fully supported.
