I just don't log dives
I was wondering if anyone had used a Hydros for a twin set. I am thinking about using a set of LP50’s as they are light and provide the volume I need. Just wondering if anyone has done this.

BPW- I know I could go this direction and am not interested.

Thanks

I don't think there is a way to convert the Hydros Pro for twins. I actually switched from the Hydros Pro because of this, so if someone does have a way to do this, I'm going to be a little pissed.

I have had one for a few years and it's designed for single tanks to a maximum size of
18 Litres to the best of my knowledge (No clue what this equates to in American size). The instruction manual gives details of all SP BCD's and the Hydros is not designed for twins.

Happy Diving

I asked Scubapro for input as the booklet that came with mine said twins to 32 kg, in the German language version. In the USA they do not sell the twin tank harness either, not that I would go that direction. Will have to see what they come up with or what their lawyers craft as a response.

If you get a response, please post it. I've switched to a BP/W but my wife still uses her Hydros Pro and if that's an option that would be nice to know.

I remember when I bought my first-gen hydros (complete with those shoulder straps that eventually needed warranty replacements) they told me it could be converted to a doubles rig. But then I started to hear that it wasn’t approved for doubles use in the US, only in Europe. Maybe they tell everyone in Europe that it’s only approved in the US

Well they appear to have the hollow bolts that SP has used for decades on their bcs that accomodate twins

Again!

I dive a similar Aqualung product with doubles at work and compared to a BP&W it's miserable. So I'd rethink your stance there.
