Try to email you but the option is turned off in your profile. The answer to your question about diving around Austin is: it's not very good, there aren't a whole lot of sites but they're very accessible. For such a land locked area Austin actually has a fair number of active year round divers. If you want to dive sometime drop me an email (via the profile screen) and maybe we can hook up and dive.

Diving in Austin may not be good compared to blue water but it's a whole lot better than not diving at all. At least we can dive every weekend if we want to (so what if the vis is only 10 to 15 feet). It's a good way to keep your skills from getting rusty, which they would if us land-locked divers only dove during our 1 or 2 blue water trips a year. So what if the water is a little green and flaky. It washes out.
 
Very true. In my experience, Austin actually has a quite a few very good divers. Far more than one would otherwise expect to see here given the location. Easily accessable diving has its advantages.
