It just blows my mind that this still hasen't been done. PADI Claims 800,000 new certs a year yet we have no regular dive shows. Im thinking a weekly show highlighting a couple of dive locations, new gear, safety and environmental awarness would be a huge sucess. As big as PADI is on sales they have missed the boat entirely on this one.
Anyone on here own a TV network? LOL...How would one go about suggesting this?

Pitch the show to the networks the same way producers pitch any other show.

The Travel Channel would be near the top of my list.

Discovery, or the Outdoor Life network would also be good choices. You could soup up a DPV and have it on Speed Channel! ;)

Their was a weekly diving travel show, PADI was one of the sponsors, and it sucked! The host had an "infomercial" style to him, and was clearly not very knowledgable in all area of diving.

An up to date program that featured both local and exotic locations, recreational, technical and commercial diving, is ripe for the making.

Don't count on OLN anytime soon, with all the money they just shelled out to purchase the broadcast rights to the National Hockey League...

There is a group looking to do a show on the Sunshine network. I know because myself and other SBs auditioned to be the hosts. Don't know whatever came of it but since I never heard back I guess I wasn't chosen.

They had a good plan to promote Florida dive location, ecology and education.
