I was about to design a scuba tank holder for the rear of my DSII, when I thought maybe someone else on this board solved the problem. Has anyone designed a tank holder for the cargo area of a DSII and would be willing to share the design?

Thanks in advance

Michael

Kind of a disapointing answer because you doin't get to build anything but I've discovered that if I just toss one tank in the back of my truck it rolls around unacceptably but if a use a couple bungees to connect two tanks they don't roll around.

Um, what's a DSII?

DSII = Land rover Discovery Series II.

It takes me to interesting and hard to reach places. Now that I am certified, those interesting places can be revisited with a different goal in mind. Unfortunately, bungee cords won't work where I want to go back to.

For a couple bucks, I bought 2 "noodles", the long foam swimming pool play toys, and cut them into shorter lengths. I just shove them between the tanks to prevent them banging against each other and wedge the tanks between the sidewalls with additional dive gear such as weight bag, gear bag, etc.

Oh Allen...

You have to understand the Land Rover drivers mindset, you see to them there is only one make of vehicle produced. The only options to consider are model, year, and fuel type...

Unfortunately you are going to have to act pretty quick if you intend to pick one up as they are planning to modify the classic lines of the Disco this fall...

Perhaps you may want to consider a couple of 2/4's and some turn buckles.

I honestly thought there was only premium.....

I'm talking diesel (one ran over 200 miles on banana oil) or petrol (able to handle 63-95 octane) brother!

Of course it should be mentioned they don't import the diesels here in the US...

I was googling and found your post. i was wondering the exact same thing and hoping someone already solved this.

I was looking at one of the cargo boxes ont he side (I dont have a 7 seater) and wondering if there was a way to remove the box fasten them there and not use up any of the other space.

lemme know if you come up with something.

I will keep an eye on the thread!

Thanks robrob
