SCUBA Show to be Sponsored by Wyland Worldwide; Marty Snyderman to be Speaker

The SCUBA Show in Long Beach, CA is further cementing itself as the preeminent consumer dive show in America with new partnerships and programs. Founded in 1988, the SCUBA Show is now the largest dive show if its kind in the United States. An average of 10,695 have attended the show annually for the last 18 years earning the SCUBA Show the title THE Diving of the Year!

For 2009, the SCUBA Show has secured a sponsorship by the world-famous and award winning marine artist Wyland. At the show, Wyland will be doing a live painting as well as bringing a huge collection of his art. As a matter of fact, the exterior of the Long Beach Convention Center is the location of one of Wylands largest marine life murals; also know as a Wyland Wall. In addition, the SCUBA Show's logo has been completely redesigned with Wyland art. The new art will be phased in over the next few months.

In addition, popular speaker Marty Snyderman will be returning to present seminars at SCUBA Show 2009. Marty Snyderman was recently recognized for his many achievements being awarded the prestigious 2008 Reaching Out Award presented by the Diving Equipment and Marketing Association (DEMA). His many photographs and articles have been published in National Geographic Magazine, Skin Diver Magazine, Natural History, Dive Training, Sport Diver, Time, and Newsweek. He is also an award-winning underwater cinematographer.

Filling out the seminar program will be noted experts speaking on the areas of their expertise including marine life, underwater imaging, dive locations worldwide, and more.

The show will continue with its very popular photo exhibits, shipwreck artifacts from the California Wreck Divers and continuous underwater film festival on a mega-screen actually in the exhibit hall. Social highlight of the weekend is the Saturday Night Casino Party benefiting the non-profit California Ships to Reefs. And as always the most popular feature of the SCUBA Show is its 73,000 square foot exhibit hall featuring new dive gear, education opportunities, savings and dive travel representatives.

SCUBA Show 2009 will take place May 30-31 (the weekend after Memorial Day) at the Long Beach Convention Center, California.
