Entry Level Scuba Repair Technician - Long Beach, CA

A small, family-oriented business in Los Angeles County with a very busy Scuba Service/Repair Department is looking to hire a full-time service technician with previous service/repair experience preferred but not required. Service and repair training will be provided, but a basic understanding of scuba diving equipment is preferred. The position will be employed from 30-40 hours per week. Hourly rate is negotiable.

Key Responsibilities

· Service and repair dive computers/watches, regulators, and buoyancy control devices as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with factory standards

· Document work performed / updating service logs

· Maintain communication with customers, suppliers and supervisors

· Help maintain cleanliness of workshop

· Maintain customer and store equipment in good working order

· Maintain spare parts inventory and accuracy

· Provide exceptional customer experience

Additional Responsibilities

· Cover scuba sales floor on occasion

· Help check in/check out scuba rental equipment

· Answer phone calls and inquiries

· Establish good working relationships with equipment manufacturers

Requirements

· High school diploma, or equivalent

· Excellent customer service skills

· Mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills

· Ability to lift 75lbs
