I was wondering what the consensus is on scuba pro II vs and Octo. I just purchased a scuba pro II since it means one less hose. After doing a pool test, I found it very hard to use the deinflator button to get all of the air out of my BC. What would happen is that I would put a couple of bursts of air into the BC and then try to let it out. The majority of the time the air would NOT come out of the BC unless I jerked the hose around while holding the button down. I was wondering if anyone else experienced this behavior? I am using an OMS IQ BC with bands (The bands are supposed to help stop this from happening.. but that's a whole other debate!)

Thanks for your help

AIR2: BTDT, switched to bungeed alternate and long hose. Didn't like the restricted head movement, and wasn't particularly keen on its performance as a reg, either. Nor, once it was explained to me, did I like the idea of having only one alternate.*

* simultaneously holding down both inflator and deflator buttons allows a non-reg BC inflator to be used as an emergency regulator.

I totally agree with metridium. I did the same thing. I had an Octo+ and switched over to the long hose config and I like it much better.:)

this should not be one of them unless you were breathing off the AIR 2 at the time. I'm not experienced with the OMS bladder but sounds like it may be a problem with position or dumping technique. BTW, you might try just moving the hose if necessary rather than jerking it. Most of this stuff is pretty resilient but why press your luck unnecessarily.
