Hi, fellow divers!

Very excited to finally be posting on this great board. I've been lurking since August, when hubby and I started taking our certification classes. I found information on this board to be super valuable when I was doing the classes and check-out dives.

I live in Minnesota. I actually got interested in diving at a young age, with my dad. He started diving in the '50s when it was just a brand-new thing. He and I dove a couple times when I was about 12 years old, just very shallow (maybe 10') around the docks at the cabin.

Fast-forward 15 years and my hubby and I tested out the equipment again. Hubby was hooked and my interest was renewed. It took a couple years and then we got to the point financially where we could drop the dough on certification classes.

So, here I am! We took a trip a few weeks ago to the Bahamas as our first-ever dive trip and it was amazing. Looking forward to being a part of this awesome community. :D

Congrats on getting back into diving. I'm hoping that you took that equipment into a shop to get checked up before you used it.

Sounds like you had a great time in the Bahamas. Keep diving!
