Scuba Junkies' Mabul Beach Resort, and SeaFest Hotel

Any new info on Scuba Junkies' new accomodations on Mabul Island, the Mabul Beach Resort? The last update I could find on Scuba Board was from August.

I'm weighing staying there on Mabul, or at The Seafest hotel in Semporna. Does everyone agree Semporna is too wretched to be any fun at all?

I stayed there last July and loved it. Definitely better (by 1000!) than Semporna. Scuba Junkies was a great company to dive with as well, but as has been said on here before, rental gear left a lot to be desired.

Did pass by the Seafest Hotel, looked Ok & there will be more food choices at Semporna (but think it is a few minutes walk to the main food streets?). Have to consider the time it takes from Semporna to Sipadan every morning...
Btw, SJ previously transfer ppl fr Semporna to their Mabul Beach Resort, then go to Sipadan... U have to check with them, if they still do that...
