Hi all;

Fairly new to the diving world. I have my open water certification and have 20 dives under my belt. I am interested in further education and am looking for personal recs on dive shops close to the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I would have thought there would be several in Ocean City but can not seem to find any.

I am interested in Nitrox and Advanced Open Water and would really enjoy finding a local group that is in to recreational diving. I am not an adrenaline junkie nor do I look for deeper or tougher dives. I am diving purely for recreation and would like to meet others with similar mindsets. My local dive shop where I was certified seems to be charging very high prices for education and has very few classes. The instructor also seems to be worn out of diving if that makes sense.

Any guidance would help.

Thanks,
Ed

Have you tried Pirate Scuba? I'm not sure, but I think they are still open.
There is also a shop called Waterworld in Delaware.
Delaware Dive Shops - Dive Shops.com

Ted Green used to have a shop called Tidewater Aquatics, I know he shut down for
retail but still runs charters, has rentals etc. I'm not sure if he still teaches, but
it might be worth checking out.

Pirate Scuba used to be on Rt 50 just outside west OC. All last year I would stop by only to find they were NEVER open. Their website says they're giving up the ghost. Most recent adress I can find is [1219 Mount Hermon Road] There's a DS that offers classes + rentals in Salisbury called Delmarva Diving or something like that... It's on 1915 N Salisbury Blvd. I just got back in-country so I haven't had a chance to check and see if either has changed. Sorry my info is a little dated. I've been outside the US for some time. You might ask this in the Mid-Atlantic Bottom Feeders forum.

Send me a PM if you want/need someone to dive with this summer.
