Scuba diving and Windsurfing combo holiday

Hi

I love diving and my boyfriend loves windsurfing. Tried to get him into diving but as he spends his time trying to stay above the water he never got into it. We wanna go to holiday together so looking for a holiday destination that can cater for both our loves. Possibilities that have come up so far are, Dahab and canaries islands. The red sea is definitely the most appealing option for me. I hear it's mostly shore diving, which I've never done before as I have problems with my Achilles Tendons so a lot of walking is a problem. Has anyone got any destinations suggestions?

As an avid diver for 30 years and former pro windsurfer myself, I'd say choose Bonaire. Of course, I live in Florida so it's a relatively close destination for me. Bonaire has great boat & shore diving and a great spot (Lac Bay) for windsurfing.

The Red Sea, especially Dahab, is another great option as you've already mentioned.

Maui is another reasonable option with good diving and great windsurfing.

I agree with debersole. Bonaire offers excellent diving and sailboarding. You might also try Hawaii. While you are diving on Oahu he can be off windsurfing with a different outfit on another part of the island. Transportation for each is usually provided by the company from Honolulu.
