Well, my father-in-law finally decided to upgrade his 1970's gear for something a bit more modern (and serviceable). He told me to keep an eye out for a good reg at a good price, and let him know so he can decide if he wants that one or not.

Well, today I found a ScubaPro MK25/S600 with 190 octo for $350. Yeah, it's used, but that's fine. Anyway, he's out of town and won't be back till Monday. I couldn't let that bargain pass and I bought it. Now I'm struggling whether to sell it to him or keep it. Not really, but would LOVE to have that reg set. It's so much better than mine. It just needs a re-build at the shop (for safety's sake) and it's good to go.

I want him to have it, because he needs new gear BADLY! And I want him to have quality gear. But dang, I'm watching for a good deal for him and find gear better than my own. Oh well, I'll just have to keep watching. I'll find another good eventually.

CAPT HOOK:
Don't be a mark - you bought it for your father-in-law, so give it to him!

Yeah, I will. But who's Mark, and why don't I want to be like him? :D

Because it is not easy being me...

Hey, that's my (sig) line?

(See?)!!!!!!!

And I know several who have tried to be me unsucessfully!

Ouch! Does he KNOW you bought it yet?? Just kidding. I'd say, as long as you're on good terms with your father-in-law, you might as well let him have it. Keep your eyes open for another good one.

Good luck.

ha ha....I can relate. Jb wanted a g250 like mine for Christmas...so the guy only had the S/600 and made me a great deal. I wanted to switch them...give JB my 250 cause I am nuts for the S600. Looks so RETRO! :D I covet it...he doesn't even know the difference! I still want that reg soooo badly. Everytime I see it in his mouth, I am like grrrrr....I should have that.

You could steal Es and replace it with one of my old 190s and I bet she wouldn't know either!

Well crap! :shakehead The regs just arrived (literaly. 2 minutes ago)
I can't tell if they were ever "used" or not. They look absolutely, fresh-from-the-factory perfect. Even got the manual and the prefered parts cards with em. Maybe I can go try em out before I hand them over. I should probably try them out a few times. I gotta make sure they work! I can't give my dive-buddy faulty gear. Better go try them out this weekend, and maybe the next to. :eyebrow:
