It's a bit late for you to be checking out opinions here.

I've done 3 trips to SCC and loved them all. I particularly recommend it for anyone traveling solo. SCC has a dedicated, friendly staff with remarkably little turnover.

Going to stay at Scuba club Friday and wondering if anyone out there has been and if you enjoyed it?
Been there once, never again. I hated the place. Bad food, worse service and the absolute most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in, and that includes a sleeping bag under the stars...

I had a good experience at Scuba Club Cozumel. Raymundo was our DM, and he was great!

I went back to Cozumel, and booked a package through Dive Paradise that included staying at the Hotel Barracuda. The SCC went directly to the dive sites. DP made two or more stops and packed more people into the boat.

I found it hard to get a quick bite to eat before departing for our dives while staying at the Baracuda. Eventually, I just bought stuff at the grocery store. It was convenient to eat prior to diving while staying at the all-inclusive SCC.

We found some GREAT restaurants on the trip we booked through DP. We ate almost exclusively at SCC while staying there.

I'd stay at SCC again if they were more flexible in their meal plans because I wouldn't want to miss eating at El Folko's or Otate's if I were in Cozumel.

You might be able to say it is "Mostly inclusive" as drinks aren't included with the meal package.
How about kinda inculsive? AI resorts typically have a choice of restraunts as well as drinks. They have a fixed breakfast/lunch and IIRC 2 choices at dinner. One day at lunch I decided I'd rather just have some chips & guac than the "buffet" and got charged for it.

James,

Are you sure you stayed at Scuba Club Cozumel? I've been there more than twenty times and they have never had a lunch buffet. You can choose to order off the menu at lunch or eat the fantastic "diver's lunch" specials. It doesn't cost to order off the menu.

I respect your right to express your opinion and am sorry you don't share the opinion of the majority of the guests at SCC, the majority of who are repeat customers.

DSAO,
Jim (jlyle)

OK, James doesn't like SCC. I think that you will love it. If the beds are to hard I'am sorry. Might walk down and say hi. Love diving with them. Love the staff, that is, except William. He single handidly attempts to take the fun out of diving. But, form your own opinion. And the beer is to expensive.

adios don O
