I know sometimes we have a tendency to point out what is wrong with something...let me point out what is RIGHT about ScubaBoard.

When considering diving I began to search the web to see what I could find. Months ago I found ScubaBoard. While going through my recent certification I read MANY, MANY posts on various subjects to help increase my knowledge. Without knowing it many of you have helped me gain experience before I ever hit the water. A month ago I completed my OW certification. ScubaBoard Works!

ScubaBoard members helped me pick out the proper gear as well as helped lead me to the great folks at Scuba Toys who sent me my order yesterday....great products at a great price ...ScubaBoard Works!

Someone suggested I go to the local area on ScubaBoard and find local folks to dive with. Friday, I met three other ScubaBoard members who took a newbie under their wings and were very patient as I had my first and second post-certification dive! Because of ScubaBoard I met awesome people who helped me have some awesome dives!!!.....ScubaBoard Works!!!

Thanks to all of you who willingly give your experience to help all of us!

SCUBA BOARD WORKS!:D

After all it has helped me...I will be red this week!

I am a total novice, half way through my OW Cert, this board has been my main source for real world education about diving and equipment.

It is absolutely wonderful. I thank you all in helping a novice get his feet wet.

I ditto that wholeheartedly.

ScubaBoard has been a wealth of information for me and I am greatfull for those that have made it happen.

I have learned tons of general knowledge just reading the posts here. I used ScubaBoard to reseach all my equipment purchases. I found all of my dive buddies on ScubaBoard. I even found an instructor here who I'm taking AOW from right now.

Taking up this sport of diving would have been much harder without ScubaBoard! :D

Finding Scubaboard (thank you, Jackie!) completely changed the course of my diving.

I found my mentor here (thank you, thank you, Bob).

I first heard of DIR here (yeah, you guys are responsible for that).

I've found dive buddies and learned about local events here -- heck, I've even organized them here.

I've gotten advice on equipment maintenance and repair. I've gotten links to products and operators. Scubaboard is responsible for me diving in Chuck Taylors (boy, did THAT get comments on this Indonesia trip!)

And Scubaboard has been a place to share my experiences and reactions as I've learned how to do this amazing underwater thing we share.

It's an amazing resource, and I am constantly amazed and delighted at the caliber of the people who choose to spend time carefully answering questions here.

don't believe everything you read on the Internet

unless you read it here on ScubaBoard.... REAL world folks with REAL world experiences.... gotta love it.... as in the real world there are different opinions, but having the wealth of information to 'sift' through is half the fun.

yes, i like to use computers and not tables
yes, i like my force fins
yes, i like my BP/W - HOG
yes, i like my suunto (AND the PC Software)
yes, i like my spare air.....
yes......

Ditto! I happened upon scubaboard myself back in July while researching about diving on the internet. I kept coming across more and more links until I decided to simply search scubaboard itself for the info I needed. I enjoy this so much and keep hoping the "newness" will wear off so that my house will get back in order. The laundry & ironing have suffered as a result of having SB in my life. I decided to go red earlier this month because I find it invaluable!
