Our Scuba Adventure trip to Dominica in March 2009 is filling up, but there are still spots available. This is a dive trip unlike any other, and we're looking forward to interacting with the diverse crowd we've already attracted to the event.

What type of person would be interested in this trip?

--- Casual divers who enjoy doing multiple activities, not just diving. (We're offering an *adventure*, not just a dive trip. In addition to the 8 dives we have scheduled (including a night dive), we'll be doing snorkeling over volcanic vents, hikes to a boiling lake, ocean kayaking, whale watching, and anything else that grabs your adventurous spirit.)

--- Divers who have spouses/partners who don't dive. (Hikes and other activities will be offered at the same time as the dives, giving non-divers a chance to be adventurous while their partners go diving. There will also be plenty of activities for both divers and non-divers to spend time together. Plus, divers don't have to do all 8 dives--go on the ones that interest you, and go hiking or chill out at the poolside bar during the others.)

--- People who enjoy making new friends. (Unlike a local-club dive trip, this adventure is gathering people from all over the world. What a great way to expand your adventure-buddy (not just dive-buddy) list to diverse areas across the US, Canada, and beyond.)

--- People with an open mind, who are willing to step beyond the stereotypes of yoga. (Our yoga sessions--all on land--will be geared toward the diving and hiking we'll be doing on the trip. And while yoga is being offered on the trip, it's certainly not required that you participate. We'll offer morning and evening sessions that are accessible for people who have never taken yoga--just give it a shot and see whether you like it.)

--- People who enjoy the luxury and peace of mind that comes from staying at an eco-resort in the jungle. (Check out what Jungle Bay offers! Scuba Diving Adventure, Dominica 2009 - Jungle Bay Eco-Resort)

--- People who appreciate fine cuisine. (Jungle Bay offers a fantastic menu that accommodates both vegetarians and omnivores.)

--- Whale lovers. (We're including a whale-watching trip, and we'll be there during prime season for both humpback whales and sperm whales. Dominica is routinely listed in top-ten places in the world to see whales, and has been dubbed the “Whale Watching Capital of the Caribbean.”)

Don't miss this opportunity for a vacation unlike any other. The trip is scheduled for March 7-14, 2009, and a few people have already indicated they'll be getting there a couple days early. The early-bird deadline closes soon (August 31), and the trip registration closes at the end of December (or sooner, when we fill the trip at 20 guests).
