Unfortunately I have no information for you in regards to your repair. But was wondering how you liked it before it was flooded. did it perform well, decent battery life? Any info would be appreciated as I was intersted in one when I saw it on Ebay

Its great for shore diving. It will pull you along at a few knots. When I got them, I tested it by swimming with snorkeling gear paralell to the shore. I had it on for over an hour with no obvious drop in output. On a reef dive off a boat, my girl and I ran them for 50 minutes. At the end, mine was slower than hers, but I am bigger than her, and also had the flag to drag around.

Overall it's good for beach diving and fun/goofing off on the reef. I obviously would not use it for cave or tec diving.

I think it's worth the $225 on ebay.

Barnum lives again. The rating on the Ebay listing is a little ambitious! 4 mph!!!

Sure, if I get caught in a 3 knot current with this scooter maybe I can hit 4 mph. Consider a Silent Submersion (a fast technical scooter) legitimately listed at 1.3-2 mph vs. this baloney-stuffer scooter.

Sorry, but I ride a few scooters here and there.

Not arguing with you, and it certainly wont do 4 knots, but it is fun to use for shore diving.

It's funny though, when non-divers on the beach see you with it.... they think you can water-ski behind it.

That's for sure! Nothing beats a scooter for pure fun. When I dragged the Gavin to the beach they always thought it was a small bomb, or torpedo. :D

Cheers,

X
