The first time you use the Scientific Diver app it will show you the empty screen below.
Before you can use the SD app you will need to customize it by creating one or more survey type.
To create a Survey Type, tap the plus icon
(in the bottom right corner) and the app will show you the Survey Type screen below (please note that in order to create a Survey Type you MUST be connected to the Internet).
The Survey Type screen contains 15 cells.
To add a species to a cell just tap on it and the app will show the species search screen powered by EOL (hint: you might want to place the more common species in the cells in the center of the screen).
Now just enter the common name or the scientific name of the species you would like to add to the app and then tap on Go.....
.... and the app will display a list of one or more species that match your search.
Tap on the correct species to see more details ...
Please note that in this screen you can edit the name and select a different image.
Once you are done, tap on Use Species (in the top - right corner) to add this species to the Survey Type.
Now, repeat the process described above to add more species to the Survey Type.
To name a survey tap on Rename (in the top - right corner).
To exit the Survey Type screen and go to the Diving Mode screen tap on Close (in the top - left corner).
