Decided to try for one last scallop dive before Christmas. Launched at Winter Island and headed out to the beds. Found very few with the cabled camera initially but eventually found a small bed. Descended to 50' and found at least 20' visibility. Water temp at depth was 42°. Didn't see a single lobster or fish. Collected 3 bags and surfaced. It was nice way to end the 2015 season. Only a few months until i start back up again! The goal for 2016 is to find more crazy divers to go with me.

Yum, Sea Scallops,
Great catch. It's been awhile since I've gone after them. I haven't had much luck with the bay scallops. Water is still a little warmer down here on the cape. I hope to get in a couple more times before I go in for some minor eye surgery in mid January.

Cool post. And nice haul of scallops. All I could think about was having a tiny bit of ground wasabi & soy sauce on deck to enjoy scallop sushi - fresher and more authentic than Nobu's. :D

My father who was my surface support was doing just that.

Scallop sushi at Nobu goes for something like 30.00 bucks. A simple tempura is like 10.00 Your dad knows how to pick his spots. :) Yummmmm.

X - wimp diver who goes to Whole Foods (Whole Paycheck) for his scallops
