I am new to the Scuba Board and will introduce myself as requested. I am married, in my mid 40s and have about 50 dives. However, my last dive was over a year ago. I have a trip planned to Key Largo in December and hope to remedy that then. My wife doesn't dive so I would love to find someone in the area to dive with from time-to-time. I am pretty conservative in the water and like to take my time. Not down there for exercise necessarily.

Isn't that what you're supposed to do?

Anyways, welcome!

Have you ever considered Lake Jocassee? A lot of Columbia area folks come up this way for the weekend. Welcome to the board.

welcome aboard

Nice to meet you and hope you find a buddy. I'm lucky my husband dives so I always have a buddy. Welcome to the forum and I hope you enjoy your time here.

Welcome to Scubaboard! Chapin, huh? I live in NE Columbia, but my daughter and her family live on a cove at Lake Murray. Underseabumblebee and I dove off her dock one time - not a great dive, unless you like to dive in melted butterscotch! I usually frequent Jocassee, although I have only been up there once this year. Our dive season was a bust due to illness, schedules, etc. Maybe we can get a group up to dive the Hot Hole at Keowee one mild weekend in February. That's a nice place to dive and not too far to drive.
