Does the Nikon SB 105 work with de Nikon D 50 in a underwaterhousing with a nikonos connector?????????????????????????:coffee:

Its supposed to.
Whats your housing and flash cable?

CP62

It should. I use a Fuji S2 Pro (fully Nikon compatible) in a Subal housing with Nikonos strobe connectors and the SB105 works fine including TTL.

I will be using my old hugyfot housing made for the Nikon F70.
And i will use the same cable as with my old setup.
So i will modify my old housing for the D50. So will this work????:coffee:

I think Parabolic gave you as much of a yes as you're likely to get, unless you find somebody else jury-rigging an old hugyfot housing to accommodate a D50.

I use two sb105s with my D70 in a Subal housing and Nikonos connectors, and it works fine.

As for the flash... yeah it will work... no TTL though.
As for the camera, you will limit your D50s capabilities severely, if you manage to fit her inside your old housing. I doubt that you will be able to do it.
The D50 is slightly bigger than my F80s...
I have seen one D50 inside a F100 hugy housing... the guy cut a window for the back LCD but he only access the shutter!

I would go for S&S if Hugy does not make one D50 housing.

Thanks for all the advice i got. But because I will us my setup only twice a jear on holiday
I am not willing to spend a fortune on a new house. So I am planning to use my old house. Here in Holland there a few people who did it. Okay maybe we Dutch are cheap but to spend 2000 dollar on a new house seams not worth it because in a few jears there will new camera and housings who will be much better then the housings on the market today. And I understand that this is normal these changes in technology but for the people who this just a hobby it gets difficult to stay in touch with the latest. I tried the D70 but I still liked my old pictures better, for me the quality of a good film is my eyes still better then digital. But I have to admit that digital is more easy to work with. And in my Hugyfot I will only use the shutter and the Aperture. So I will keep you all posted if it will work. Then one last thing if I look on the web I see many beautiful photo’s but if I look closer I see that these Photo’s are manipulated in Photoshop. In the old days there were photographers who for me were real artists it looks now that there a lot of artists but if you look closer they can not compete to my heroes from the past. Gentlemen good photo’s are made with knowledge about what your doing and not by making average photo’s look better in Photoshop. My suggestion is that every body who manipulates there photo’s in Photoshop and are working beyond cropping and making it sharper should tell it. And all contests should be clean of manipulations of photo’s. I hope with this a discussions will start over manipulations of photo’s
