Since the long standing United redeye flight from LAX to Huston has been unceremoniously jerked out from under our feet by the out of control, greedy (Just what the heck does the FAA do anyway?) airline, forcing us to arrive in Bonaire at 2 pm instead of 6 am, will we still be able to get our traditional Sat checkout dive in at Buddies before days end?
We for years were able to arrive, have breakfast, get our SIMPATA pass, do their little orientation, get weights and take that wonderful dive that would clear out the no sleep cobwebs and start our dive trip off on a good note. Has anyone been able to do this yet or has this little move by United, not only eliminated our breakfast, lunch, dive, added 2 hrs flight time by forcing us to go to Newark instead of Huston, increased flight cost about $100/head, and to add insult to injury stick us with another $25 1st check in bag fee to boot? I feel better already......not......

I managed this once Buddys with a 1.45 flight arrival.
We were lucky, immigration was not busy and the van to Buddys was on time. Once we got there, we checked in, left the truck rental paperwork for later, and then went right to the dive shop. They recognized us, wiaved the orientation and gave us tanks after filling in the STINAPA forms. In the water blowing bubbles at 4.45.

The planets seemed to be aligned that day but may never happen again.

bummer that the red eye was cancelled on you.
