Which part of SMB were you at? I do find it varies along the length quite a bit.
Mostly South (from Marriott south to the Wharf). The central portion (Marriott,SMB resort) was actually much more eroded than the (admittedly rockier) area down by the wharf. It looked like Marriot was trying to maintain a strip of sand, but the private condos had no such maintenance.

Yes, the southern end of SMB is usually subject to erosion, I have found - far more than the central areas (Ritz, Kimpton) or the northern end of the beach. Thanks for that update.

Is anyone on Grand Cayman now? How is the sargassum situation? Thanks!

How about Little Cayman? Any reports there?

SMB/West Bay is clear. Have not been to other parts of this island recently.

Regarding beach erosion, mid to north SMB is pretty much back to normal after a rough 2021. The seawalls and other construction at the south end hampers natural rebuilding of the beachfront. (Government is currently/still debating how to deal with this issue).
