The sardine run is awesome! If you liked that footage, look for a dvd called "Deep Blue".

The only description I could find on this was that it seems to be part of the Blue Planet series. Can you confirm this? I own the Blue Planet series but would gladly buy another (different) documentary such as this one.

Deep Blue Home


It is the same people as Blue Planet, and actually a pretty good bit of shared footage, but hands down the best UW videography I've ever seen. It's sometimes easy to forget that to bring us those shots there is a human being there, alto closer to the action than the camera is making it look. One of the most excellent parts is the bonus stuff where they show the guys getting the shots.
 
Very cool. I am so tempted to go on a trip to witness this...but I wonder if I could hand the strenuous diving involved.
