No scratches on lens or artifacts. Two items are the camcorder by Sanyo - Xacti VPC-HD2 and the Epogue EHS-510 Underwater Enclosure.
The Sanyo VPC-HD2 recorder in 720p HD at 30fps and can snap 7MP pictures at the same time. Uses SDHC cards (comes with a class10 8Gb card), Built in flash, 10X optical zoom-100Xdigital, Comfortable trigger style operation, low light sensitivity setting. Saves in MP4 format to save space with zero quality loss.
The Epoque case is rated to 130ft. A rare feature this combo has is that you have access to nearly all the features while underwater - most will only do 3-4 things like on/off zoom, take picture. Has standard thread on bottom for light tray setup.
This biggest thing about this package is the size...It has got to be amoung the smallest ever. camera along fits in your shirt pocket, inside case it is 8-9in tall in the case weighing virtually nothing < 2lbs all in. So take this travelling with out issue. The case is threaded 55mm for use with filters.
