Just returned from a San Carlos, Sonora, trip with lots of photos. Here are a couple that seem to work pretty well.

I'll be down there in a few weeks, how were the conditions?

Conditions are pretty typical for this time of year. The water's warm (80-85 degrees) with occasional small pockets of cold water (you can see the cold water pockets). Visibility out at the island is spectacular (80+ feet) and lower viz (20-30 feet) at the local sites. We had some sea lion action at sites on the island, but less action than I've seen on many other trips. The local sites were not hugely impressive during this recent trip, but diving local tends to be a proverbial crap shoot depending on what's going on with currents and weather on the Sea of Cortez.

That's good to hear. The local sites are a crap shoot, but I was afraid that the recent storms would have churned things up a lot more.

this will be my sons first post cert trip so I'm hoping for good conditions.
