Yesterday we dove with Rainbow Reef; today Sail Fish. Both ops were very professional with great crews. The diving was so-so. The water seems a little stirred up with visibility near 50ft.

I wrote about Rainbow Reef yesterday (no issues; clear instructions as to the location of the boat; need for cert cards)— all in all an operation I will use again. Unfortunately no big animals...a green turtle.

Sail Fish Scuba is a smaller operation with a safety conscious crew. We had a dive guide (Rick) for four of us so it felt like a private tour. Additionally all the other crew were there to help if needed—and all super nice (Owners Jen and Chris; Tim; Tom; and Cpt. Bill—because they were training some divers). So the boat/ shop experience was great. The current wasn’t great so they took us to two very shallow, more protected reefs. Pretty coral and a relaxing long dive (56mins) but the fish life was so-so. Maybe the huge groupers and super big loggerheads off Palm Beach have spoiled me.

I highly recommend Sail Fish Scuba for those heading to the Key Largo area. Tomorrow the Spiegel Grove with Rainbow Reef.
