So it looks like it's going to be Buddy Dive for our 2/28 - 3/7 first trip to Bonaire. Now insues a polethera of specific questions.

Anyone have the derisions or rough estimate on the size of the in room safes at Buddy Dive? Like to know if a dSLR with a couple of lenses, 2 PnS cameras, a camcorder and loptop will fit?

FWIW, searching for past reports or comments regarding Buddy Dive doesn't provide the best results as it seems to return any post with the word "Buddy" or "Dive" in it... Probably two of the most popular words on SB.

I don't know the exact dimensions but roughly the one I had was 6" tall 12" wide and maybe 12" deep. Your equipment won't fit like you want, but on the other hand you really don't need to lock up your camera, laptop or lenses. The only thing I used it for was cash, passports, etc. My camera sat in the dishrack to dry and my laptop was on the table with no problems. Good luck and have fun.

The safes at Buddy's are your typical hotel safes. The camera will probably fit along with cash and documents. I have not heard of problems with theft at Buddy's, but you may want to search Bonaire Talk - The place to discuss everything and anything about Bonaire!.

BTW, if Buddy's house reef was the only one on the island, the trip would be worth it.
