I know this may be considered to be in the accident or incident forum or Matts forum but I wanted to put it here where more may see.

Jere Thore who was a vital part of Matt's "Diving the Dream "Team has passed while diving.

More on the dream may be found here.

Just heard about this also. Condolences to his family and to Matt and his team. Wish there was something I could say or do. I have talked to Matt on the phone and he is such a good person. If you see this buddy hang in there. Something else will happen to make your dream come true. I know it's a setback but I also know that your concerns are with Jere's family as they should be. Be strong my friend. Jim

ack... just terrible...

my thoughts to his family and friends

i understand from another thread that he was diving a rebreather:

Thanks everyone for your condolences on the passing of my good friend, Jere Thorne. I only knew him for six months, but it seemed as if we'd been friends a lot longer. We hit it off right away. We had a lot of the same beliefs in diving. Also, similar ideas in how to get my vent underwater. I will finish that part of my dream someday. Now, I'm just going to continue diving for Jere. Jere's family and friends are in my thoughts.

Jere was using an inspiration rebreather. He was one of the most high tech divers I knew.

Take Care Everyone and Safe Diving.

Sincerely, Matt
