Would I notice any difference between the two cameras. Is HD that good that I would see a big difference in underwater videos. Just sold my other point and shoot and am looking for another small camera. Mainly I take videos of sharks and other big fish. Thanks in advance

Outside of the video, the S90/S95 are pretty much identical. The S95 HD video will have a big difference in quality versus the S90's SD video. "640x480 v.s. 1280x720" If video is an important feature, get the S95. If your looking to purchase the preferred "but expensive" FIX housing, the S90 is your only choice for now.

Here's my thinking: I bought the s95 and the Canon DC38 housing. When the Fix housing for the s95 becomes available I can Craigslist the Canon housing.

I guessing that the Fix housing would only need a different back-side because of rhe slight change in button placement. It should be fairly easy for them to reprogram a CNC machine to make that.

If you mainly do video why don't you get a real video camera that has focus and zoom while filming and get yourself a video lamp?

The S95 will have much improved video quality plus stereo over the S90, for photography, the comparison is a wash, no winner as it is the same camera otherwise. Yes, there are a few cute little software changes, like HD photo (not video) which I do in external software already, kind of a gimmick anyways, they moved the buttons around.

Yeah, if video is your thing, the S95 is better and I would wait for it. Otherwise no, the S90 is now, the FIX90 housing is now, it works great with external lenses of all manner, no sense hoping for something that ain't yet when it already exists.
