I have the S80 in Ikelite housing - i have a DS-50 strobe with the DS-Controller (slave TTL) and a diffuser on the front of it.

...I am very happy with the shots taken using just the internal flash (all close up of course) but not haing much fun with the ones where I use the strobe. Seems that I either have too much light from the strobe OR can't light up the subject enough (i.e. have to point the strobe at such an angle to stop it from washing out the image)....I can't see any way where by you can effect the amount of light from the strobe using the TTL slave sensor.....unfortunately when attaching wet lenses to the housing i need to use the strobe as the internal flash is blocked, hence needing to resolve my issue.....

....does anyone else using the slave TTL sensor (and does it work)?? OR do I just have to pony up the cash and purchase a EV-Manual controller and throw away the TTL Slave one (then at least I can control the power output of the strobe)

Thanks

I have The S80 in the Ikelite housing too. When I bought the housing and strobe from Ikelite, the manual controller was the only option availabe.
Cheers

kudos to ikelite - I sent the question to them and they have offered to swap the controllers for me.
