Any suggestions for the WB settings for a S40? I see on some of the newer cameras they have a designated WB for underwater but not for the S40. The Canon website offered some suggestions but wondering if anyone has experience in shooting with these. I would like to not have to make alot of setting adjustments at depth so hopefully there will be some easy option for me.

Thanks in advance for your input.

You will need to learn how to set your WB manually. It isn't hard on the Canon cameras.

For general underwater settings, in relatively clear blue waters, I start with 1/100 or 1/125 and f4.5 or 5.6. I then do a test shot when I decend and adjust...faster shutter if the water is too blue. ISO 50 or 100, lowest your camera uses.

There are several threads on settings to get started here and in the main UW forum. For the most part it doesn't really matter which camera you use so don't limit yourself to reading only those that talk about the S40.

Have fun!
