Took my new system out for it"s first UW experience today off Cozumel. Using a modified Inon Fuji F-30 AD adaptor. Pretty stiff current made taking pictures of small/macro stuff like juvenile spotted drum and Splendid Toad fish in hole challenging. Didn't bring full tray and D2000 setup, just onboard strobe. Inon flash diffuser would not fit with Canon port so used Canon diffuser - not nearly enough diffusion around the big Inon lens for macro stuff. I am sure the Inon diffuser would have fared no better. No vignetting at 35mm zoom, and maybe even at one "bump" of the zoom lever less. Autofocus a challenge on Toad fish at less than 6 inches due to motion - me in the current. I think my old Sony P100 and P150 actually focus quicker than the Canon. At least I was able to get a good shot yesterday of a toad fish with a cleaner shrimp on his head with maybe a little less current. Wind has picked up from the west so diving may be blown out for tomorrow, or maybe I will get lucky and be able to dive the East side. If so, I will try loading up the D2000 and tray. I know I read someone's suggestions of settings on the D2000, but I can't find it and I believe it included using the little magnet which I seem to have misplaced - never used it with the Sony setup. Bottom line - I think the S-90 will work OK with Inon WA lenses and I may go ahead and buy a UFL-165AD, especially if Inon really does come out with an AD adaptor for the Canon WP-DC35 housing. That will save me nearly $1000 for the FIX housing and an AD or 67mm adaptor, cool as the FIX housing is. $1000 is about what I expect to spend for a week of lodging/meals/diving in Dauin Philippines in May (free airfare thanks to credit cards and NW/Delta). HIghly recommend the Dumaguete/Dauin area for pretty special macro diving - never been to Lembeh and the coral and scenery may not be as pretty, but the price is right and about 28 hours total travel time (10 hours PDX-Tokyo + 2 hour layover + 5 hours to Tokyo-Manila and 8 hours layover (5 hours sleep at near airport hotel) + 1 hour flight to Dumaguete and 30 minute ride to Dauin and in the water for 11AM the first day - at least that is what I did on my last visit 2 years ago). Many frog fish every dive, flamboyant cuttlefish, at least 20 kinds of nudibranchs, multiple pipe fish and seahorses, sea snakes, etc. Plus lots of varieties of Lion Fish in the environment where they belong! I don't know if I can load pictures on this computer to post - didn't bring a card adaptor, so may have to wait until I get home to really see what I took and get some up online.

Your report, lol, is encouraging for the DC-35. If you are able to get the 105AD to work then the 165AD should work, thank you for the report, I am sure it will be useful to many as it means Inon might be able to provide an adapter kit.

The strobe can be used simply but setting it to sTTL and setting the camera in P.

Or you can install the magnet, set camera to Av, go to Menu and set the strobe to manual and then under function set on the +/- for strobe power set it to lowest power. Then simply dial the f stop set on the S90 into the Inon D2000.

The sTTL positon on your D2000 overrides the magnet position so you can still set with P on the camera and sTTL on the strobe.

Try both and see which works best for you. Hope that helps.

Good luck with both the WA lens and the strobe.
