I just received my RX100 IV, which I'd like
to use extensively with my s2000 strobes.
Contrast to my previous camera (olympus
E-PL5) I can't find an option to limit the
output of the built-in flash to 1/64, the
value I normally used on the Oly.
Is it possible somehow? The most I can get
out of the machine is -3stops flash
correction, which is ~1/8, still a battery
hog...
Alternatively, Is it possible to attach a
strobe trigger e.g. via USB or program the
AF assist light to blink when the flash is
supposed to?

The Sony RX100 series only have a TTL flash and no option for a manual flash
The only version that allows for a bulkhead is the Mark II however as the LCD has live view is mostly unusable
Your S2000 are weak for the RX100 unless you do macro and you do have a risk of having full blast of the internal strobe for wide angle best to plan for an upgrade to Z240s or some of the stronger Sea and Sea range
