Hi all,

I had some questions as well regarding diving while cruising and all the info. submitted to this forum has been helpful. We are taking that same cruise to St. Croix ( must dive with Tecmini) St. Maarten, Antiqua, St. Lucia, Barbados. From San Juan Feb.24th RC Adv. of the Sea. Buck Island Reef should be good as well out of St. Croix. At least one other dive at one of the other locations, not sure yet. Weigh in please. Taking my own gear as usual.

Buck Island isn't very good at all for scuba diving. It's on OK trip for beginning snorkelers however, of the 72 moored dive sites around St. Croix every one of them is better for diving than Buck Island. That's just my opinion and I've been taken to task on TripAdvisor for saying it but none of the dive shops on the island dive there and there's good reasons for it. The other diving on St. Croix is sooooo much better.

I'm always quick to point out that I have a vested interest in diving on St. Croix as I own the shop that Tecmini works for. I won't repeat what's already been said because she's said it quite well but if you have any other questions please don't hesitate to let us know.
