i work in Anaheim too but i live 15 min south in Mission Viejo.
SD is only 65miles and considering the current conditions in Laguna SD is my choice for this saturday.
Too many days i go to laguna and the surf is 3'+ yet in SD its 1 foot. With conditions as they are i think SD is your best bet for the weekend.

i was working down by laguna this week and let me tell you it looked like a scene from "Victory at Sea" not pretty at all. Easy 3' surf average with set ups to 5'. Factor in the Surf and the run off from all this rain and i think some beaches will be closed due to sewage levels.

After driving the 65 miles one way to La Jolla this morning, at the crack of dawn no less, the conditions were crappy! So i drove home
2' - 3' with sets to 3' - 5' @ the Marine room at 7 am.
Doable yes smart no.

Well, Saturday is the big clean up in Catalina. I'll be diving with some friends off Casino point in the afternoon. 3 tank dive on the King Neptune for Sunday. You're welcome to join, especially since I understand we're still missing a few divers for Sunday.
