Hello,

I was curious if anyone on this forum has recently tried diving in Rocky Point. The only posts I found were quite dated.

I've been trying to get to San Carlos but it just hasn't worked out. I need an alternative to local lakes to get my 'fix' when I'm between dive trips. I'm going back to Cozumel in late August but would like to get in the water before then and was hoping Rocky Point would make a decent day trip or weekender.

First of all welcome to SB! I dove Rocky Point a few years ago. It was Ok close to the mainland, but Bird Island is much better!

Thanks for the reply. I will send the private message....as soon as I discover how to do that :) Sorry, new to this forum.

I did just do a search and found out there is one dive shop in RP, I saw that they book trips with two different boats.

Do you recall the viz at both mainland and Bird Island?
