I must have missed something. I thought the OP said he had been diving for 21 years I would agree that maybe he got a little preoccupied taking pictures and didn't pay enough attention to his buddy, but (to me, anyway) I don't see how that warrants "special treatment". Regardless, there is NO EXCUSE for manhandling a diver...unless a rescue is underway.

There's a forest preserve directly across the street....We went hiking there for about an hour....it was magnificent. Dude you said there wasn't anything "near"...what do you consider "anything"?? West End is all bars and restaurants and they are all right next to each other..once you are there you can walk...you consider a 10 minute cab ride inconvenient? Ok...I get it...you can't afford the cab....you should have qualified that you were traveling on a budget....my bad...

Sure - low budget ....that's why I rented this house close to the West End. So I could walk to the bars/restaurants nightly in the West End. Because I found the 10min. ride to/from AKR slightly inconvenient - did it 3x. One night we had dinner while waiting around at AKR - didn't find the food to be particularly great either. To each his own...

Yep, You missed where this all came about because the OP's Wife was not qualified to make the dives and expected extra help. How can anyone consider themselves a capable diver if they do not even know how much weight they need or how to descend? Why blame a DM for this? Was anyone manhandled? I seriously doubt it, I Imagine this is all overblown to try to make up for the wifes shortcommings, If Not then why air it out here ad not in the office? No matter where you stay, they have a reputation, they did not want to stand up for you in this circumstance? This is who they reccomend?
