Roatan taxi fare

Can anyone tell me how much the taxi fare is from Mahogany Bay Cruise Port in Roatan to Barefoot Cay Resort? and about how long the trip takes?

5 minutes once you get outside the Mahogany Bay compound. (IDK how long that takes but I've heard it's a bit of a hike):

We are only 5 minutes away from the new cruise ship terminal at Mahogany Bay....

$10 would be a lot but taxi prices seem to be higher for cruise pax. Negotiate up-front b4 your party gets in the cab.

Email Mel at Barefoot divers. She set up a taxi for me and my son to meet us outside the gate. She got us a price for the taxi as well. We ported at Coxen Hole, and it was $20 per person round trip and took about 20 minutes one way. The taxi was waiting for us outside the gate with a Barefoot Divers sign held high. It was about as easy as it could be.

Mahogany Bay (Carnival cruise lines port) is a lot closer and I think the price was $10 per person and about a 10 minute ride.

Thank you Steve & Sparky. We're booked with Barefoot Divers. Now I know how much cash to take and how much time to allow.

I just hope that Hurricane Rina doesn't do any damage to Roatan or get in our way. We're scheduled to dock there next Wednesday (Nov 2, 2011)
